First Blog - The Trial Run

Hello everybody,

This is my first time doing anything with a blog. I am still trying to figure out how all of this works. My hope is to be able to post daily with all kinds of different topics concerning biblical things. I want to reach those who are lost and equip those who are saved. Wish me luck!

I guess the best place to start this journey is to give the Gospel.

To put it simply, the Gospel is found in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

1. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2. By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4. And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Paul is writing this to the church in Corinth. This church was not exactly perfect and actually had a lot of problems.

The first verse says, "the gospel which I preached unto you". Paul had already told them what the gospel was. He was telling them again. We, as Christians, need to be reminded of the Gospel frequently. One reason for this is to remember the God we serve.

The Gospel is this. God sent His only begotten Son to Earth through a virgin birth. Jesus lived a sinless life of 33 years and was unjustly tried and sentenced to death by crucifixion. He died on a cross and was buried for three days. On that third day, He rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven where He now sits at the right hand of Father God, waiting to come back and claim His Bride (the church, believers) and judge the wicked (unbelievers).

Have you put your trust in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross? If you have not, what are you waiting for? If you have, then get busy winning some souls!

Another passion of mine is telling people the truths of Scripture. Some of these truths can be a little harsh when you first hear them, however, they are truths, nonetheless.

So many of us have learned things so wrong as we grew up. In this blog, I hope to get into all kinds of different subjects and topics. One of the more fun ones to do is to talk about Creation. Everything (at least most of) you learned in public school science and history class is wrong. I love being able to show people why. Anything that can bring you closer to God, I want to talk about.

Leave me some comments to help me figure out how to do all of this better. Leave me some ideas about what you want to hear about and discuss. Criticisms are welcome too, just keep them PG. This is a Christian blog, after all.

Thanks guys and God bless.
